A national ranking is shining a spotlight on research excellence at Mohawk.
Mohawk has captured the number 17 spot in Research Infosource’s annual ranking of Canada’s top 50 Research Colleges. Mohawk also ranks sixth among Ontario colleges.
The annual ranking measures college research activity based on research income, research intensity and research partnerships. Mohawk’s rank in the annual survey rose five spots since last year, thanks to a 43.5 per cent increase in research income and an increase in the number of college faculty involved in applied research.
iDeaWORKS, Mohawk’s research department, includes three centres of research excellence: the mHealth and eHealth Development and Innovation Centre (MEDIC), the Additive Manufacturing Resource Centre (AMRC) and the Mohawk Energy Research Centre. iDeaWORKS also supports the Applied Research and Innovation in Education Fund, which focuses on encouraging applied research among faculty and staff.
